Goodbye old blog of like 2 years. I'll still maintain this, but all my new posts will be in the new place once this no longer allows it. Man, I really hate to move but according to blogdrive, my memory space is full so I can't put up any more posts unless I pay for more space. But nah. I tried blogspot, but I found it too hard to learn fast so I'll be using blogdrive still but a different address. To go to my new blog, pls just just click the link below ayt. Thanks.
Startin off with last last Saturday, went to Pangasinan to speak at an event called "Jammerfest". It was a gathering of different youth groups of churches there & they called themselves J.AM. or Jesus Advocates Movement. Just like J.T.Y.M. which we have ova here in Taytay. They were celebrating their first year anniversarry. I honestly didn't know what to expect. Took a road trip with my boys, Radical Faith band, our son Band. We just got on a bus & it was pretty fun. Bus rides suck when your alone, which I got used to back then, so this reminded me of my Baguio days when I used to go to school there & went home every weekend. Had Chicharon, & the free taste maccapuno stuff for lunch. When we got there, it's been ova 5 hours since we left Taytay. The place was quiet & peaceful. In the covered court was a pretty cute set up, sound equipment could have been better, but it was a start, still not too bad. Me & the band was wondering, "ok lang kaya tugtugan natin dito"(that's rock with growls). Then the sounds played & to our suprise, it was Jesus Freak by DC Talk, followed by some Third Day, Skillet, Delirious & other CCM stuff. I was impressed they were pretty updated over here. They even grasped the concepts of "Jesus Rocks" etc, it was on their shirts & pins. So after Radical played, it was my turn to speak. Tried my hardest to do more Tagalog. It turned out pretty well cause in the end, we were dancing to the national anthem at front, "One Way". They also had cool dramas/skits. I also got the coolest framed certificate of appreciation I've gotten so far, complete with my picture. The people here were nice & astig. So after the program, they prepared a meal for us over at their church. Had some exotic dishes, pinapaaitan, laman loob(guts & spleens), blood, kinilaw & we sure enjoyed that. Got on the bus back home at 10. Going back was faster. I was up the whole way, grubbing on some Cheetos flaming Hot, C2, Casoy de turon & just making kwento of bus tales I had back then. It was around like 2 we got back Taytay. Thanks for the invites Jammers. Congratz & may you guys be a force to be wreckoned with ova there. Here's your request for a post. If people make me request for songs on the radio, why not on blog right? Next day was Sunday, big day as usual.
Jesusfest Week
So off we were with our annual youthweek & what can I say, overall it did turn out better than last year's. We had an all you can eat fried chicken showdown. So for my lunch & dinner meals, I usually had chicken. Set p my radio booth, so it was nonestop(well I had breaks rin naman) from 1-8pm. God's really blessed me with throat muscles, cause I've never lost my voice completely yet, even if it's a one week overload. Anyways, the event had no casualities or injuries, just fun fun fun. We really look forward to kicking Octoberfest butt someday. There were also alot of new young people turning to Christ or being revived through the activities this week.
On friday, it was downright crazy for me. What was I thinking trying to organize two big events? But it was totally called for. Good thing I've got a great crew to help. The first was the first grand EB for my other radio program PR. Held at the WMC studio. Also a live recording to be aired in upcoming episodes. But that wasn't the only thing on my head that day, we had the Jfest concert over at church at night. Well the bands I got to play at the EB we're also gonna play at night. The EB went cool! It was so good to meet listeners. Can't wait for the next one. So after, went to church, got ready for the night. Well both events went alright. Phew! Praise God!
Saturday was our District Sportsfest at Marikina. Our annual whole day activity. It was also my nephew's dedication. I had a dinner event planned out for the night, but I was too dead. Only superman could've went after all I went through, so I was sorry to cancel. It sucks to turn down food too, & friends. So was just at church after the sportsfest, trying to relax. Had our young adults fellowship.
Sunday, was not a good day for me. I really felt like crap. Things weren't so good around me either. I woke up with a cold & husky voice. The weather was also ugly. Service, wasn't so fun for me. These were just one of those days you wanna crawl under the ground & die. But it happens & God is still good despite all that. It was actually a perfect set up for my sermon at our youth service. I was expecting the message I'd give would be weak because I was, but it actually turned out to be one of my best daw. His power is made perfect in weakness! I mean where'd all that energy come from? So Generation Congregation went good. Afterwards, went to a family reunion & later that night, prepared to just totally pass out, but didn't get to sleep very well due to my runny nose. It's actually still runny even as I write this *sniff*sniff*. But I'm gonna beat it out of me soon, drowning it with water & pineapple juice. I claim I'm not gonna sick of or from what I do. Thank God in advance for the healing & new strength that's coming. I'm ready for more days like this. Because by the end of my life, I'd love to look back & see I've wasted no time. Well that wraps up this long week & post.
Funny eh? But if I were given a choice to be a look alike of someone famous, I only got one I really wanna look like, Jesus Christ. So much, I'd really want people to mistake me for Him because they see so much of Him in me. I know I still gotta long way to go. This is maybe not by face, but by faith.
Next week, it's gonna be our annual youthweek at church. We call it 'Jesusfest', to counter Octoberfest. Here, fun aint in the name of beer. It's the second time we're gonna do this & this time around oughta be alot more fun! Last year we hada blast doing it. It's like a fair or foundation week at school only this was meant to honor Christ as while having fun. I'm gonna be there doing the radio booth, playing real live-DJ again to play songs, make anouncements, play requests, make dedications, do contests atbp. Asteeg toh so some of you guys please drop by & check it out. Hope to see ya there!

1) Nice bible. 2) I would like to pray with you. 3) You know Jesus? Me too. 4) God told me to come talk to you. 5) I know a church where we could go and talk. 6) How about a hug, sister? 7) Do you need help carrying your bible? It looks heavy. 8) Christians don't shake hands, Christians gotta hug. 9) Oh you are cold, Ecclesiastes 4:11. 10) Did it hurt when you fell from Heaven? 11) What are your plans for tonight? Feel like a bible study? 12) I am here for you. 13) The word says "Give drink to those who are thirsty, and feed the hungry." How about dinner? 14) You don't have an accountability partner? Me neither. 15) Do you want to come over and watch the Ten Commandments tonight? 16) Is it a sin that you stole my heart? 17) Would you happen to know a Christian woman(man) that I could love with all my heart and wait on hand and foot? 18) Nice bracelet (WWJD). What would Jesus date? I mean "do." 19) Do you believe in Divine appointment? 20) Have you ever tried praying at a drive-in movie before? 21) Excuse me, I believe one of your ribs belongs to me. 22) My friend told me to come and meet you, he said that you are a really nice person. I think you know him. Jesus, yeah, that's his name. 23) You know they say that you have never really dated, until you have dated a Christian. 24) Yeah I predicted David over Goliath. 25.) Before tonight i never believed in predestination
My additions:
26.) I love Jesus, and I see Jesus in You. So I love you. Don't you love Jesus? 27.) You are a thief for stealing my heart. But it's ok cause Jesus & I loves sinners 28.) Pwede ba makuha ang number mo sister para maencourage kita?
(Bible verses that could be taken out of context & be used in love letters) 29.) It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart Phil. 1:7 30.) How bout a holy kiss?(Ro.16:16, 1 Cor. 16:20, 2 Cor. 13:12,1Thes. 5:26) 31.) Your love has given me great joy and encouragement. Philimon 1:7 32.) long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I
will be filled with joy when we are together again. 2 Tim. 1:4 34.) Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing.. Heb. 10:25 35.) ...let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions. 1 John 3:18 36.) ...I thank God everytime I remember you...Phil. 1:3
Do you have any more to add? Or maybe an experience? Let's hear it.
Meaning this boy had a part in a play...that is.hehe. Last friday, I had three small roles of three different characters in a production at La Consolacion College Manila. It was called "Single Brown Female". Featured other shorts as well. Acting is not really my cup of tea nowadays & I really have no plans because I'm more spontanuous & really don't like memorizing lines, but I went on right ahead to try it just for fun & just for a change & maybe a lil racket. It was also a challenge because I haven't done acting or theater since Highschool. This is really a rarity, a one time thing for me the way I see it.
FYI: Acting back then helped earn me a 92 as my final grade in Filipino where I struggled, it was not bad at all considering I had a 72 in 1st grading. Thanks to my lead role as Simoun in El Fili. Kahit nagkabuholbuhol at baluktot ako sa pagtagalog, it went pretty cool. I remembered playing Ibarra in 3rd year & Mr. Goerge in a play called "Sabina". Not to brag, but because of these, I also got a best actor award for 2 years! Totally unexpected. They didn't have much of a choice rin naman cause it was either me or the gwardya sibil, it must've been a close call. Well that got me thinking, that I'd hate to be a best actor as a christian/pastor, & that's for sure. That would suck big time, because me being me, is as real as it gets. This is no play. I'm not perfect, & I do struggle like everyone, but I do give one hella of a fight in my faith to keep it real.
Going back to that play last friday. The three other plays we're also amusing. This was actually Rated PG. Bad language & profanity was used. Ya, it was just acting, but I just could'nt find myself using the F-word again. It was my favorite word back then but now long no more. One of my roles was Cris, an fil-am boy who liked saying it. When i saw it on the script, I refused to do it not really because I can't, it's cause I don't want to. I'm dead to saying these words. They needed a strong word daw kasi so I suggested I could say "freakin" or "friggen" but not that. Salamat naman, they respected that so no cusses from me even though I did have this semi rape scene, but the lights go out right before anything Rated R happened. The story of SBF is about a filipina babymaker. Yes, she sells her babies for a living. Meron pala ganito in real life so it was pretty interesting. I played the 3 different clients; Inigo a gwapo Italian dude, Cris an agressive Fil-Am boy & Keith the Canadian who was demanding he got his baby soon even if it wasn't due out yet. Playing Cris was the toughest, because there was a struggle scene which I had to act like a mad almost violent maniac forcing a girl. Parang di raw ata bagay sakin, but I tried. In the end, it turned out clean, but dirty(huh?), meaning pretty decent & wholesome naman. ATF parin toh as always. I brought some of my boys from church with me cause they wanted to see & observe a play & be my PA/bodygurds? They said they also had fun watching their youth pastor unlike they've ever seen before. They even got the struggle scene on their cellfon videos. Almost looks like a scandal, a christian one.Haha! This was a fun memorable experience. Will I do this again? Hmmm, we'll see nalang. Hello to all the new people I met there. Thanks & it was fun playing there with you guys ; )
Hey guys, I'm gonna be doing an upcoming radio episode(s) which
includes me answering a bunch of questions. So now's your chance to go
ahead & ask me anything you like, stuff you didn't know about me or
whatever(sige, kahit personal or hinde) :
What's 1+1 What is your favorite color? Who is your crush? What is love? What came first, the chicken or the egg? etc.
I'll answer as best as I could here &/or on air as well later. Just use the comment bar below(tama ba?whatta-u-think).
Please help me out by participating. C'mon, don't be shy. Let's hear
it. This is open to all friends, non-KJ lurkers & nonlurkers. Just
make it nice & neat ok. Thanks. And just to make it more fun, I'm
giving away a free CCM CD or two to the best question(s) asked, so go
for it!
Milenyo striked with
a force that knocked out almost every billboard sign & tree in
sight. Pretty strong, it was unlike anything ever seen before. The
aftermath looked like a warzone. So where was I when the storm hit? At
work, which is down under in a basement of a building. Didn't feel a
thing down there. Just went up to take a peak. Later when I got out, it
was over with & there was no electricity at church & at home.
Heres what really sucked, we didn't have power at the house for over 3
days! No TV, or electric fan. Hirap matulog! Nakakabadtrip umuwi ng
maaga.
Praise God on friday night, tuloy parin ang saya
sa PGIF(our monthly fun night), even though hindi nakarating yung much
anticipated guest band from Laguna because it was flooded there &
stuff, we had to bring out a suprise special guest panakip butas band,
R.O.C.K.(kami yun) & that turned out fun for us & hopefully for
everybody else. After, went home & found there was still no power,
so I went back down to look for a matatambayan but turns out Mocha
Blends was closed because there was no power there as well because of a
billboard that fell on the wirings & church by this time was closed
so ended up just going home. Good thing I was tired enough to fall
asleep & the weather made it quite cool because of the rain.
On Saturday, I saw 3 shows in 1 Day. Before
that, took the family out to Mega Mall. Ate at this Chinese resto which
was yummy. After that, Show #1 was in the movie theaters. Me & Dad
watched "Dead or Alive". The story sucked! But the chicks rocked! Nice
& fun fight scenes, these chicks would kick Charlie's Angels butt.
Ok lang na panget yung kwento basta maganda yung mga bida kaysa naman
sa maganda yung kwento pero panget yung...yun na yun. hehe. After, said
bye to Mom, Dad & Ate, & hello to my radio parents, Ron &
Jaedee Titular & some of the Edge Radio gang. We watched the
Trumpet's Musical; "Joseph the Dreamer" which was show #2. I haven't
watched a musical in a while. It was real good & I really enjoyed
it. It was a nice fresh break from the noise in the band scene. After
this, headed to show #3 at Teatrino in Greenhills. The show was called
"Captivating; inspired music by inspired women." Directed by my friend
Jourdan Sebastian, performers were Acel, Julieanne, Nityalila, Spoken
Word artists atbp. Ganda ng place. Yun lang medyo mahal pero this kinda
ambiance calls for it. The concert was unique & it lived up it's
name cause it was "Captivating". Got back home around 12 & it was
very dark in our subdivision again. Usually it's just dark but without
power, very dark. This sucked! I tried getting to bed as fast as I
could knowing it's Sunday the next day which means I need to charge up
for that. But it was too hot to sleep without an electric fan so around
2am, I gave up on trying to sleep & just laid there all night. One
lesson I've learned, never look at the clock when you can't sleep &
you've got a big day ahead. Man! Di naman ako napuyat kasi di naman
puyat ang tawag kapag wala naman talagang tulog.
That lead me to being fully sleepless on a fully loaded day that
Sunday. 8am, Praise & worship rehearsal, 10am service starts.
After, head to NU for ATF then I'm back to church for churchboard mtg,
typing my sermon in a laptop for the night's youth service while at it.
Later it's P&W practice, I had to play drums tonight too cause the
drummer was D.A.-ed. Gave a message on "Grace", my, it was sure the
only thing keeping me standing. Later after the service, I head off to
rockwell to a friends birthday bash(Happy B-day Stef). That was fun.
Right when I got there, I sat on the kahon I brought with me & got
right to work to play with my band(J4B). Then ate, made chika chika,
jammed, it was nice just hanging out & with faces I dint get to
hang with in a while in that nice model unit called 'the glasshouse'. I
brought my entourage pala also with me, some barkada boys from church,
they were doing their own thing while I was at the party. After the
bash, hung out a lil more at Starbucks. I really din't want to go home
yet though I was feeling more lightheaded than ever. I was thinking of
even crashing in somebody's place so di maulit yung kagabi. But thank
& praise God talaga, when I got back the subdi, it was just dark,
meaning the electricity had finally come back on & I was sure glad
because I finally was headed for some good sleep tonight. Whatta way to
end, I sure slept happily ever after.
